Daniel Brettler has 30 years of risk management & insurance experience devoted exclusively to the life science & technology industries. He is responsible for the effective delivery of risk management & insurance products and services to clients. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring responsiveness and the delivery of high quality advice from account management teams, maintaining internal process controls, developing and nurturing life science insurance company relationships, producing new client opportunities, and growing the practice within the strategic plan of the overall insurance brokerage firm.

Background
Brettler began his insurance career as an account executive servicing multi-national clients for one of the largest insurance brokerage firms in the world. After having been principal of a regional life science and technology brokerage firm, Brettler founded and developed his own life science & technology firm, Brettler Financial Group, which he ultimately merged with Conner Strong & Buckelew. He continues as the Practice Leader of this highly specialized division.

During his time in the insurance industry, Brettler has been repeatedly recognized by leading life science insurance companies for his innovative ideas and development activities in creating coverage enhancements that respond to emerging industry risks. Most recently, Brettler was recognized by Risk & Insurance as a 2022 Pharmaceuticals Power Broker. Furthermore, he has been acknowledged as a driving force behind the use of technology that automates policy issuance of Human Clinical Trial insurance throughout the world. In addition, Brettler has been a frequent participant in national internal training for leading insurance company underwriter education sessions. Brettler is recognized by several state biotechnology associations as being a significant contributor to local life science initiatives for the enhancement of the industry.

Raymond O. Burke

Responsibilities
Raymond Burke underwrites prospective public sector accounts and corporate/national accounts of various sizes for Conner Strong & Buckelew. Additionally, he provides renewal assistance on in-force accounts. Burke also analyzes rate actions, rating methodology, components of ASO fees/retention charges and trends. His scope of work includes the calculation of IBNR reserve estimates, quarterly projections, renewal estimates and settlements.

Background
Prior to joining Conner Strong & Buckelew, Burke spent over 20 years in the healthcare industry with extensive experience in Public Sector and large group insurance underwriting. Over that period of time, he worked for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Buck Consultants, The Prudential Insurance Company and The Chubb Group.

Eric Dezii

Responsibilities
Eric Dezii leads the Production Support Group (PSG) within Conner Strong & Buckelew. PSG is responsible for the servicing and marketing of Conner Strong & Buckelew’s largest clients. They provide cost-effective risk management and financial solutions to complex clients. PSG partners with our Sales Department in the intricate task of designing, marketing and onboarding our largest clients. Dezii is heavily involved in the training and mentorship of our staff. He also sits on various industry focus groups and insurance carrier advisory councils.

Background
Dezii entered the insurance industry in 1983 with The PMA Group. He held the position of Account Executive in PMA’s Philadelphia Region. As a member of PMA’s Leaders Club he designed insurance programs for middle market and major accounts. In 1990, Dezii left PMA to become a founding member of NSM Insurance Brokers. As Vice President, he worked to grow NSM from a startup firm to a nationally respected wholesale and retail broker. At NSM, Dezii managed the insurance marketing operation and served as Risk Manager to the firms’ 25 largest clients.

Dezii joined Conner Strong & Buckelew in 1999 as Vice President in the Major Accounts Division. In 2003, Dezii assumed the responsibility of leading the overall marketing operations of Conner Strong & Buckelew. This includes client acquisition and the overall direction of carrier relationships. Dezii has lead the Production Support Group (PGS) since 2006.

Frank C. Proctor

Responsibilities
Frank Proctor is responsible for Property & Casualty new business activities and focuses on handling complex accounts at Conner Strong & Buckelew. In addition, Proctor acts as mentor to many of the firm’s young Producers.

Background
Proctor joined Conner Strong & Buckelew in 2006, with many years of leadership experience in the insurance brokerage industry. Proctor specializes in accounts with sophisticated exposures and complex insurance needs. Prior to joining Conner Strong & Buckelew, Proctor worked at The Graham Company, a Philadelphia based insurance brokerage. He was hired at Graham as an Insurance Producer in 1995 and ultimately became an Officer of the company and a member of their Leadership Group in 2003. Proctor also worked for five years as a Mechanical Engineer and Sales Representative for Thermal Basic, Inc. in Enfield, CT.

Upon Graduation from The Naval Academy, Proctor entered the Navy’s Nuclear Power Program, where he was trained to perform duties as a Nuclear Engineering Officer with the Submarine Service. Proctor served on board the USS Oklahoma City (SSN – 723) until August of 1990 when he completed his military service.

Jack Tarditi

Responsibilities
Jack Tarditi is responsible for new business development and client relations for the Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty Divisions of Conner Strong & Buckelew.

Background
Tarditi has over 40 years of experience in the insurance field. He was President of Associated Insurance Management, Inc. (AIM) where he was a principal shareholder for over 20 years. He was also a corporate officer with Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company in Philadelphia where he held positions of Assistant Controller and Director of Special Markets. Prior to becoming a Managing Director of Conner Strong & Buckelew, Tarditi was Executive Vice President with management responsibilities for the Employee Benefits Division.

Community Involvement
Tarditi served as Mayor and Director of Public Safety for the Borough of Haddonfield for 16 years while serving as Borough Commissioner for 23 years. He is former President of the Camden County Mayor’s Association and the New Jersey Conference of Mayors, and chaired the New Jersey State League of Municipalities School Funding Task Force, as well as their Legislative Committee. He served for 20 years as Chairman and Commissioner of the Camden County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund representing 33 Camden County municipalities; Past Chairman and Commissioner of the NJ Municipal Excess Liability Fund, which provides excess coverages to over 400 New Jersey public entities. Tarditi serves on the Cooper Foundation Board and chaired the Helene Fuld School of Nursing Board of Trustees. He also serves as Trustee of the Salvation Army – Camden Kroc Community Center, the chairs the Emeritus Symphony in “C” Society Board of Directors. He was one of the founders and initial chairs of the Trustee for the South Jersey Community Foundation where he is now an Emeritus Trustee. He also serves on the Haddonfield Cultural Events Commission. Also on the NJ State Council on Local Mandates, where he served as Chair, and a past chair for the South Jersey Tourism Corporation. He is also Chair of the Camden Public School Educational Foundation and serves on the Haddonfield Educational Trust. Jack and his wife are members of the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield where he serves on the diaconate board. He is also a board member of the Markeim Art Center.

Jack and his wife, Barbara, are longtime residents of Haddonfield, where two of their children and eleven grandchildren live. Jack’s youngest son’s family resides in Abington with their 2 children.

Matthew Tiagwad

Responsibilities
Matthew Tiagwad is responsible for new business development and relationship management for Conner Strong & Buckelew. He performs detailed consultative reviews of health and welfare plans for prospective clients. In doing so, he conducts a detailed gap analysis for all coverages, examines cost and policy data as well as plan design strategies, and provides detailed recommendations and corrective action steps. Tiagwad specializes in both fully-insured and self-funded arrangements. He provides expertise in the area of healthcare reform and also specializes in developing customized health and productivity plans.

Background
Tiagwad joined Conner Strong & Buckelew in 2013. Prior to joining the organization, he served as a Major Account Executive for ITS Neopost, a commercial and corporate mailing solutions company located in Norristown, Pennsylvania. His responsibilities included managing a large book of business and cultivating new relationships. In this role, he covered the South Jersey, Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Northern Delaware region and routinely achieved well over 100% of his quota.

Dominic Micali

Responsibilities
Dominic Micali plays a pivotal role in spearheading new client development and marketing initiatives. His innovative thinking and client-centric mindset are instrumental in attracting and retaining client-partners. Dominic drives organic growth and oversees the employee benefits sales team to ensure that short-and-long term growth initiatives are successfully completed.

Background
Prior to joining Conner Strong & Buckelew, Dominic was the Executive Vice President of Sales in the Philadelphia Metro Area at Arthur J. Gallagher – a global brokerage and consultancy. In this role, he oversaw a team of producers and consultants. Dominic led key initiatives, including the redesign of client deliverables and sales accountability as well as process standards leading to a record client retention and 200% pipeline growth. Previous to AJG, Dominic played a significant role in helping grow NFP Corporate Benefits into one of the largest privately held employee benefits firms in Delaware Valley. He delivered benefits consulting services and supported over 320 mid-market clients.

Prior to joining NFP, Dominic spent eight years in several sales positions with Comcast-Spectacor, most recently as a Sales Executive in charge of contracting multi-year luxury suite and sponsorship deals for the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers. In this role, Dominic led the sale of nearly $30 million in annual revenue generated for the Premium Seating Department.

Community Involvement
Dominic is actively involved in numerous charitable organizations, including Melmark, Girl Scouts of Eastern PA, and CUPA-HR. Dominic is also passionate about HR, serving as a long-time Board Member at Philadelphia SHRM, the largest chapter in the country.

Sean Critchley

Responsibilities
Sean Critchley is responsible for the marketing of Conner Strong & Buckelew Public Entity Programs in the North Jersey Region. Special emphasis is placed on larger risks that may consider alternative risk options and are financially able to assume a portion of risk.

Critchley has several years of brokerage experience with Professional Liability accounts. His intensive legal training has resulted in a broad-based knowledge of the various intricacies of the professional liability and health insurance markets.

Philip Glick

Responsibilities
Philip Glick is a 42-year veteran of the insurance industry, Glick is responsible for generating new business opportunities and directing account services for large strategic business relationships for the Property & Casualty Division.

Background
Prior to Conner Strong & Buckelew, Glick served as Senior Vice President for ECBM, where he was a Partner and Consulting Group Practice Leader. He has extensive experience in the design, placement and servicing of insurance coverages for large clients including both private and publicly-held firms. In addition to his consulting experience, Phil has held senior positions with several large national and regional insurance brokerage organizations for over three decades.

In addition, Phil is a nationally recognized insurance educator having written national examinations for the Society of chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters and taught both graduate and undergraduate courses as an Adjunct Lecturer at LaSalle University in Philadelphia and seminars for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and The PA Institute of CPA’s.

James M. Hanrahan

Responsibilities
As a leader of Conner Strong & Buckelew’s Construction Practice, James Hanrahan oversees business development, risk management consulting, and client retention for the firm’s largest and most complex construction accounts.

With nearly 40 years of industry experience, James brings extensive expertise in sales, underwriting, marketing, safety, claims management, alternative risk solutions, including captives, and wrap-up insurance programs to address his clients’ unique risks.

James also serves as a mentor to the firm’s next generation of Producers, helping to develop future leaders within the organization.

James is actively involved in local and national construction trade organizations. He provides educational materials and relevant articles, focusing on how contractors can leverage their corporate insurance programs as a competitive advantage to bid more aggressively and secure more profitable projects. Prior to joining Conner Strong & Buckelew, James held leadership roles on both the brokerage and carrier side of the industry, including Liberty Mutual Group, where he was recognized as a member of the company’s Sales Hall of Fame for his contributions to the growth and retention of Liberty’s Business Market operations. He also served as the Resident Leader at Liberty Mutual’s largest field office which housed every discipline of the company.
