Senior Partner, Senior Consultant, Health Insurance Funds Business Leader

Responsibilities
Diane Peterson has over 29 years of experience in the Employee Benefits industry. As the HIF Business Leader her responsibilities include overseeing the management of the day-to-day business of the Funds. In collaboration with the contracted professionals and Broker Partners, she establishes the strategic goals and guidelines in order to insure the success of the programs.

As a Senior Consultant, Diane maintains a book of clients and is responsible for advising clients on all aspects of their employee benefit plans, acting as both an account executive and strategic business planner. Peterson is also responsible for analyzing and designing complex health and welfare plans. She is knowledgeable in fully-insured, self-funding and alternative funding projections and presents financial analysis for her clients.

In her roles, Diane serves as a liaison between insurance carriers, stop loss markets and the clients for problem resolution and improved efficiencies. She completes contract negotiations, recommends plan design changes and assists clients with collective bargaining agreements as well as state and federal legislative compliance and employee communications.

Background
Prior to joining Conner Strong & Buckelew, Diane worked at a broker agency and was responsible for finalizing renewals and preparing strategies for client presentations. Before engaging in the employee benefits field, Peterson served as a bank officer specializing in bank operations for 20 years. She specialized in systems and production efficiencies including the development of a credit card program.
