Conner Strong & Buckelew Acquires Pennsylvania Firm

Insurance brokerage Conner Strong & Buckelew is expanding its footprint in Pennsylvania with the recent acquisition of employee benefits consulting and brokerage firm Armstrong, Doyle & Carroll.

Financial terms of the deal, announced Sept. 7, were not disclosed.  

Founded in the 1950s, Armstrong specializes in benefit plan solutions, including managing a statewide benefits insurance program for private schools and colleges in the Keystone State. It is based in Wayne, Pa., according to its website. 

 Led by John Doyle, who has been in the industry for more than 30 years, Armstrong will ultimately operate under Conner Strong & Buckelew’s brand after a brief transition period. 

“We’re looking forward to Armstrong, Doyle & Carroll joining our organization. John Doyle has built a terrific company, and he and his team will add value to our business,” Michael Tiagwad, president and CEO of Conner Strong & Buckelew, said in a statement. 

Doyle added that his team is “excited to be a part of such a premier organization” and said the move adds resources for Armstrong’s clients. 

Conner Strong & Buckelew, which has clients around the country, is headquartered in Camden and operates out of offices in Parsippany and Toms River, as well as in Philadelphia; New York; Boston;, Dover, Del.; and Palm Beach, Fla.
