Bill Motherway is the President of Conner Strong & Buckelew’s New York operations. He is responsible for the management of the firm’s New York commercial property and casualty operations including business development with a focus on the construction and real estate development sectors.
Motherway is a 30-year veteran of the New York insurance industry. He previously served as Executive Vice President for Tishman Construction Corporation, an AECOM Company, where he oversaw the corporate-wide enterprise risk management program, including safety and loss prevention, litigation management, disaster preparedness and the administration of corporate property and casualty programs. While at Tishman, Motherway also served as Director of Compliance and managed the day-to-day operations of the company’s captive insurance company, which he is credited with launching.
Prior to Tishman, Motherway served as the Risk Manager for the City of New York where he led a number of signature projects involving alternative risk solutions and wrap-up insurance programs. Additionally, Motherway currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association, a leading industry organization he joined in 2011 and is a licensed attorney in the States of New York and Florida.
