Responsibilities
As Surety Practice Leader, Steve Raffuel manages the underwriting, placement and ongoing program requirements of Conner Strong clients across a broad spectrum of disciplines including, construction, pharmaceutical, and health care, among others. In addition, he is instrumental in the achievement of the global growth and economic plan of the company by lending his expertise to the other divisional heads and production staff to strike value added relationships.
Background
For the past 31 years Raffuel has been immersed in all aspects of the surety industry, having begun his career in underwriting roles for Aetna Casualty & Surety, achieving the rank of Regional Vice President before moving into the brokerage end of the business. Before moving to Conner Strong to lead the Surety Practice, Raffuel was responsible for the operating results of a handful of firms specializing in surety placements and construction contractors.
